This fund is to help you toward your goal of home ownership. With the money you will use it to pay for essential household expenses, such as your first month’s rent and deposit, or your deposit towards owning a home.

This £200 household support fund can be spent on: Cookers (gas and electric), washing machines, fridge freezers or other white goods. Food and drink for up to 2 people per day for a week (maximum value of £100) Toiletries such as replacement toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap and toilet paper. Cleaning products like bleach, detergent and air freshener.

This £200 household support fund is designed to give you the flexibility you may need to adapt your home quickly and effectively, as well as offering reassurance that you will have financial support when you need it most. For households facing financial hardship, we can offer a £200 household support fund. This is a discretionary award given to those people who are experiencing difficulty in paying their Council Tax from their income, and have other forms of benefits or state support available to them. There are no restrictions on how this money can be used, but we will look at your circumstances to identify whether other benefits/grants would be appropriate.
