Financial Aid is a way to help you pay for your college education. There are many different types of financial aid, and they can be awarded in different ways. The types of financial aid most commonly available include scholarships, grants, work-study programs and student loans. Scholarships are awards based on academic achievement, leadership or other special skills or talents. Grants are usually need-based and do not have to be repaid. Work-study programs allow students to earn money by working part-time on campus or off campus during their school year or summer break. Student loans are borrowed money that must be paid back with interest once the borrower leaves school or graduates from college. Governmental agencies such as the Department of Education (DOE) administer federal student aid programs through loan programs such as Federal Perkins Loans for students who demonstrate exceptional financial need; Federal Direct Student Loans (FDSLs); Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP); Federal Pell Grant Program; Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Program (FSEOG); Federal SEOG Program; Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH Grant); Iraq Afghanistan Service Grant Program.

Financial aid is a process that allows you to receive monetary assistance from your school in order to pay for your education. The financial aid process can be confusing, but we’re here to help!

To begin the financial aid process, you’ll need to fill out and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can find this form online at www.fafsa.gov.

Once we have received your application and it has been processed by our office (this usually takes about two weeks), an award letter will be mailed to you informing you of any grants or loans that have been awarded in addition to any other relevant information
