Social Security’s My Account is a secure and convenient way to manage your Social Security account. You can use it to do things like:
– See what’s in your account and when you’ll get your next payment
– Update your address and banking information
– Find out if we’ve paid you too much or too little in benefits
If you have a Social Security number, you can create a my Social Security account to get information about your benefits. You can also use your account to apply for retirement, disability and other benefits online, request a replacement card or check the status of your application.
The first time you access my Social Security, we’ll ask you to create an account. After that, you’ll be able to sign in using your username and password anytime. If you forget your username or password, visit the Forgot Username or Password? page on socialsecurity.gov and enter your SSN or contact information, and we’ll send it right over!
Once you’ve created an account, we recommend that you visit the Benefits section of my Social Security often to learn about any new benefits that may be available to you.
What Can You do With Social Security Account?

When you log in, you’ll be able to:

Social Security’s My Account is a free, secure service that lets you manage your Social Security benefits online. You can view your payment history, change your address, and get other helpful information.
How to Sign Up Social Security Account
To sign up for My Account:
-Go to https://www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount/.
-Click the Sign In button in the upper right corner of the page, and enter your Social Security number (SSN) and date of birth.
-Enter the email address associated with your Social Security account; even if you are not receiving any correspondence from us now, use an email address that you will check often as we may send important notices to this address.
-Create a password that meets our requirements: it must be at least eight characters long and contain both letters and numbers; no spaces are allowed; it cannot contain any part of your SSN or birthday; it cannot match any previous passwords you have used for this account; it must have at least three numbers from section 7 on page 2 of your Notice of Award letter.
