United Airlines Cancellation Policy ⏬👇
Did you know that you can change or cancel your United Airlines flight reservation up to 24 hours before your departure? It’s true!
Here are some of the details:
-You can cancel or change your reservation at least 24 hours before your departure time without paying any fees. You can also change your flight at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time, but there may be fees associated with the change.
-If you don’t change or cancel your reservation at least 24 hours before departure, you’ll have to pay a fee of $200 per person, plus any fare difference.
-If you make changes to more than one ticket in one transaction, each change will incur a separate fee of $200 per person plus any fare difference.
If you cancel your flight within 24 hours of your scheduled departure, you’ll be charged a $100 fee. If you cancel within 24-48 hours of your scheduled departure, you’ll be charged a $200 fee. After 48 hours, if your flight is canceled and you don’t reschedule or get a refund, you’ll be charged the full cost of the ticket.
If the airline cancels your flight, they will refund 100% of the base fare on most flights within 21 days. They will also refund any government taxes and fees associated with your trip. If there were any changes made to your reservation after check-in (such as extra legroom), those fees won’t be returned to you unless the airline can prove that they were caused by circumstances beyond their control (like weather conditions).
If you have a ticketed flight with United Airlines and need to cancel your trip, you’ll need to do so at least 10 days in advance of your scheduled departure. If you cancel more than 10 days in advance, you can get a full refund minus the airline’s cancellation fee. If you cancel between 7-10 days in advance, you can get a partial refund. If you cancel within 24 hours of your flight’s departure time or don’t show up for the flight, there is no refund available.
