Guatemala has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round. However, there are two distinct seasons: wet and dry season. During the wet season (May through November), rain falls almost every day while during the dry season (December through April), rainfall is much less frequent but still possible each day except on rare occasions when it rains extremely heavily for hours at a time instead of just minutes like during most days during this time period (this can happen especially if there’s an approaching hurricane).
